Sorry, Probable spoilers - - -


I have a problem concerning this quest. Korgan is in party - all requirements have been done - up to Pimlico..Korgan gives the expected where to go comments - however. Pimlico Estate doors are locked & barred from inside (with a "go away, Pimlico sees nobody voice comment" therefore Korgan's required NEXT step comment can not be given.

Being aware of end of quest in Slums - a visit there, does indeed produce Shagbag & party - who has Korgan's book - however . . .

Quest remains "unsolved" in journal as entry obviously MUST be gained into Estate..something been overlooked? anybody got an answer - some help here? please? Thanx

Strange...are you sure you already have to go there? When you faced the guardians (for me were Greater Mummies) that stand in there to "protect" the book (even already robbed)...are you sure you had put Korgan in the frontline to "see" that the book was missing and listen to what the guardian had to say?
If so, then you really got a problem...try to contact the moderators...they might know what to do!

 

I am also having the same problem right now. Every once in a while I stop back by but I get the same responce,"Go away etc...." Please help...

 

I have heard something about having Edwin in the aprty..some say without him the quest is impossible (I don't know if it's true for I did it without Edwin)...try to make him join you...
at least is a choice you gotta try! Good luck!

Thanx for the replies..Well I feel better - seeing I'm not the ONLY one who's had this nonsense happen.

As I understand it (from many references)

1.you get the quest from Korgan "go get the book from XXX"

2. you hop over to the graveyard - down you go
until you reach the (mummy)area where Korgan will comment "aha the tomb has been looted"- sends you hot footing on trail of thieves to Temple District - Pimlico's Estate - where you're supposed to enter & he would say "aha foiled again" - look's like Shagbag's work (who's in Slums) OOKKK

3.IF you go to Slums - Shag IS there and so is the book however you really could NOT know it was there unless you gained entry to Pimlico (and got the needed clue) - which I can't (grrr)

4. Makes no sense one would need Edwin to solve another NPC's quest, nor have I ever heard this mentioned.

5. With book in inventory, I carefully scoured entire quest areas(from beginning to end (for the 3rd time) to see if anything had been missed/overlooked - nothing!! clean as a whistle. Estate is STILL firmly locked. I'm still being told to get lost and quest remains in journal 'unsolved'.

6. I do not recall ANYONE in tomb speaking to me. Soon as entered last room, believe disarmed a trap & entire melee party instantly launched into fight (tomb inhabitants were ALL red/hostile)- practically at same time Korgan was commenting things were 'missing" - - - hmmm.

7. My only 'solid' save is when I began Graveyard (long BEFORE this quest "solved") I guess only alternative is replay this whole thing again and see what happens - sigh.

8. I keep thinking there's an explanation here somewhere - others have done this quest and seemed to have no trouble why me? sniff

9. I could replace some of the data files (assuming I guessed at the right ones) - but I don't think that's the cause/fix

10. Game is official patched and I am running Weimar's Ease 1.6 - very limited to add the bonus vendors and eliminate alignment dissention -but I cannot see where this is the cause either.

If on the replay it happens again - I guess quest is just gonna have to stay mysteriously unsolved.

Korgans quest can have problems if the following:

1) You have done Edwins Quest.

2) You had Edwin in the party and kicked him out after hearing about his quest.

3) You kicked Korgan twice after you initially got him in your party. (started the quest.)

4) You killed a lich in the graveyard before you went to the Tomb.

5) A party dialogue disrupted a dialogue needed in the quest.
