[IMG] I finally went to see this movie last night. I REALLY liked it!!! Unfortunately, I can't really write anything about the movie, because anything I'd say would probably spoil it. Most of the people I know thought/heard it was terrible, so I've been putting off seeing it. But now that I have, I thought it was a great film!!!

Anyway, it was not exactly what I was expecting - another interesting M. Night twist at the end, although I saw this one coming...I highly recommend it! It has a lot of valuable social commentary.

So far, I don't think M. Night has made a bad film yet! The 6th Sense was awesome! Unbreakable is probably my favorite, even Signs was pretty good...Although my least favorite of his 4 films. Here's my rankings:

    1) Sixth Sense
    2) Unbreakable
    3) The Village
    4) Signs

I thought it was pretty bad, myself. The plot, characters, etc. were decent at best, but the dialogue was so terrible that I was laughing uncontrollably at times... and it's not a comedy. Money spent on The Village is money that should be used to see Spider Man 2 or Collateral.

I really, really dislike M. Night, and his ridiculous twists that everyone see's from miles away.

Its a matter of prefrence though, I'm more of a Quentin Tarantino person.

Unbreakable is my fave M. Night film so far, I loved the bit at the end with his son.

And in fact the whole concept of that film was very well thought out and executed IMO. Yet to see The Village though, gionna try this weekend.

while i agree with this statement in general, an exception has to be made for 6th Sense, the movie with the 2nd-best twist in the world (tied with Primal Fear ;) ) the best twist, of course, belongs to none other than Kaiser Soze ;)

The movie wasn't terrible, but I was disappointed with the finish. Not the twist, just the way that the movie seemed to suddenly end. There was no clear conclusion to the film, just a dialogue scene. I was waiting for more.

I did think that the creatures looked really awesome though. Now if only Shamalyan had put them in every single scene, rather than just those few for the 'mystery' effect.

Well I'm definitly gonna see it, but as we have all learned form "The usual suspects", a twist plot is a very fragile thing. I only saw the ending and lost interest in seeing the whole movie.
