    [IMG] Is there any way to import Branwen and SharTeel from Baldur's Gate 1 into Baldur's Gate 2 or is there a MOD out there to bring them into the game?

    No and no; sorry. :bad: It might be a good reason to get into modding yourself, though.

    As an alternative, you could make identical characters in a multiplayer session and give them the approriate BG1 soundsets and portraits, but there may be some missing sounds.

    @Felinoid - I thought you could CLUA in characters and other creatures from BG1 into BG2? Ehh, obviously I was mistaken. :shake:

    Actually I have thought about doing a MOD for this or including it in a Mod I am working on although i was thinking of a MOD with a Quest to restore the Temple of Amaunator (both of them). Any suggestions about who should be the cleric of Amaunator? (I was told there was a MOD for Branwen, but have not been able to find. It was suppose to have a romance for her too.)

    Well, yes, but there are a number of difficulties involved with that. One would be the proficiencies (I don't know how they handled the shift or even IF they did anything; best case scenario is things would be okay, but worst case scenario is that it might crash the game), another would be the levels being significantly lower (since Branwen can only spawn up to fifth level and Shar-Teel would only spawn up to fifth or sixth), but the worst would be the dialogues. They'd say something like "Candlekeep" and you'd have to respond with the description of Monster Summoning II or something equally bizarre, because everything got reassigned. So you'd have to know the number of which dialogue option to pick from BG1 just to get anything to work. And the banters (though they likely wouldn't go off, you never know) would be amusingly random at best, immersion-destroying or spoilerish at worst.

    @Korick:
    The best place to start would be to learn WeiDU, but I'm afraid that's all I can say with any amount of certainty. This site isn't really about modding, but there are many other sites dedicated to it where you might find more help.

    EDIT:
    The romance mods for Branwen are for Tutu, which is BG1's story played with the BG2 engine. The BG1 NPC Project (over at www.gibberlings3.net) has a Branwen Romance, and there is another Tutu romance being worked on over at www.rpgdungeon.net.

    If I'm not mistaken, SharTeel is in TDD. When you load it, she appears in government district; but maybe I confuse her with some other NPC.

    @Argohir:
    You are correct. TDD does appear to add Shar-Teel, as well as Kagain, Kivan, Montaron (how?), Xzar (how?), and Yeslick. Hear that, Korick?

    Spoilers about Xzar and Monty, in case no one wants to know. :)

    Shar-Teel is in the Gov't prison, Kagain was at the gates, Yeslick in in the Temple area, Kivan in Umar Hills and as for Xzar and Monty - Xzar claims his clone was killed by the Harper assassin. The clone is the one who gives you the quest to rescue Monty from the Harper hq. The real Xzar will ressurrect Monty and now you have the really odd couple you loved to have Tarnish whoop on! :lol:

    IIRC, the bad part (other than some nasty bugs that made TDD unplayable for me) was that none of these NPCs had their voice sets from BG1. I think they had 3 lines each.

    I have another question. Are there some NPC banter PACs out there available. The NPC’s really make the game interesting and are there some add on out there that work well. Just wondering.

    Banter Pack is about in the middle of the page. It adds new banters for the NPCs.

    True ... but I guess if you did somehow get them into the game (not mod wise) then they wouldn't really have the same traits as the other NPC's would they? I mean attitude, conversations, etc

    My thoughts are that it would not be that hard to write banter backs for Branwen and Shar-Teel. I think the concept behind these two character is good. I was thinking they would fit will into the concept I have of the godling in developemnt. They are both very war like. Of course if your version of the main character is different they might not fit in well with your story development.
