    I am new to Baldur's Gate (II) but so far I think it's great. I seem to have a problem though so maybe someone can help. Evidently I didn't provide Nalia with the correct response after clearing De'Arnise Keep because I can't get back inside, and I found a guy standing at the top of the drawbridge who told me that the Keep now belongs to the Roenals. Is there any way that I can fix this, other than starting the game over?

    If you are a fighter (any kit), monk or barbarian, you have really given a wrong answer. You'll need to reload or use debug console to fix it.
    If you are any other class, this is how it ends.

    And don't read walkthroughs or threads with spoilers before you finish the game on your own. Seriously, man, it kills the fun.

    Hey BobD, I agree 100% with Zvijer!!! I finished a few times BG II before I take a look at the walkthroughs of the mage stronghold...you may e-mail one of the moderators to learn how to fix this problem with the debug!! Good luck to you!

    There is a way to manually set the values to get the strong hold. If you have the CLUA Console inabled, try typing this after the CLUAConsole: prefix (one line at a time):

    SetGlobal("PlayerHasStronghold","GLOBAL",1)
    SetGlobal("PCKeepOwner","GLOBAL",1)
    RevealAreaOnMap("AR1304")
    HideAreaOnMap("AR1300")
    StartCutSceneMode()
    StartCutScene("Cut32a")

    This was found in Nalia's dialog file, but I've never set mutiple GLOBALS at the same time, so I don't now if it'll work, but you should try it. If it works, congrats...if it doesn't, just reload the game. You did save the game before trying it didn't you? Don't forget to tell me of the results! :rolling:

    [IMG] Thanks to you all for the tips. I'm at work now so I can't try the fix until later, but I will let you know if it works. BTW, I'm trying to avoid game specific hints/tips unless I get completely stuck. Looks like I missed it on this one.
