That's right, tell me your favourite word (in English preferably ;) ) and explain why you think it's so awesome.

My favourite is definitely "Perhaps". It's the summary of life: uncertainty, surprise, and it has this weird mystique thing. Just try saying it out loud (with a British accent). :p

    Suppose

Just nod slowly and say "I suppose..." and you can get out of any conversation topic that you don't like.

    Peasant.
I tend to use this word a lot, to describe the great ignorant masses that comprise the majority of humanity :p
btw: for pronunciation of 'stiekem': the 'ie' is pronounced like the 'e' in 'evil' but 'shorter' and the 'em' like 'um'

    My mother's is melifluous.
    My brother's is discombobulate.
But I can never pin down my own. In Latin it is definitely vastare, in French it's ancienne, in German I love abendlandischen, I'm partial to akolouthia in Greek, but English (my native tongue) gets me every time.

Here's the word that strikes me right now: mandibular.

I think I slightly misunderstood the 'question'.
Stiekem (on the sly) is a word I just use often. Anything I say I am about to do, will be 'stiekem'.

A word I like since a few months is Proleet (Vulgarian in English). To me, a proleet (pro-LAYT) is somebody who doesn't have a very good job, but spends loads of money on his car (his most important show-off), earrings, necklaces, 'these fine leather jackets', home-entertainment system and other expensive goods. All very rich compaired to his brain.

    Meaty.

It sounds risque when it can actually be perfectly tame. I love it. ;)

'Lets discuss' is a phrase I have been using a lot.

'Easy' could be my favorite word. Describes everything from, my attitude to my life right now.

'F***' is the all time favorite ofcourse. A couple of years back I would use it so often, a friend actually sent me a forward full of its uses with the Topic "Your Favourite Word"

Nice, simple...makes a great alternative to cursing! Just scream 'SUGAR' the next time you stub your toe!
