can you use the worn out boots for anything? ie: take them to cromwell and get some cool magic ones?

The bots of Etherealness can be found in the Sahuagin city.
Won't tell you where cos i don't want to spoil anything.

Oh and there are two pairs of speedy boots:

One pair in the Planar prison and anothr pair in either the underdark or the Asylum but i can't remember which.

Actually, a couple of 'item lists' compiled on various BG2 sites list the 'boots of phasing' as being in the game... they just don't say where

boots of phasing are NOT boots of etherealness.. they give +2 AC bonus but are cursed as they randomly (and constantly) teleport you infront of your enemies during a battle

Those another boards suck! Either they are full of liars or you must be major cheater to post there.

But yes, there are those boots in BG2 and full info:

    Item Code: BOOT08

Anyway, you can't find them or get them anywhere, and there is only one creature in whole game that uses it. It is Chaos Mist - and it appears only in Druid Stronghold quests. Yet, when you kill it, the boots from it disappear and you can't loot them.

Anyway, if you wanna check this, search thru CREATURE.BIF file in DATA folder for BOOT08 - you'll find creature with code DRSHCH01. That's our beloved mist.

Note: research is based on core game, no BonusCD included, maybe boots are there - like I care.

Hmm extremist.. I always enjoy a good insult from someone who has some.. issues

note: I never stated that I posted on any other boards. I never even said I read any other boards. I mearly noted that I had read on other sites (actually LINKED TO by sorcerer's site) about the boots of phasing

ah well. Now I see the light. third edit of a useless post.

also note: board does not equal 'site'

The insult was not pointed to you, but on people who tell lies so others constantly ask about such things.

There is no need for you to feel insulted. If you felt that way, I'm sorry.

    ...........

And what sites linked to here? Lemme get there and you'll see then what is real insulting.

    ...........

    Issues? What issues?
