My 300th Post anniversary question. That noone can answer ;)
Again dedicated entirely to Vicsun's great idea about theese kind of post.

Again Why does the Shahugians live inside a Dome of air? I mean they are underwater creatures. And if they aren't. How and why did they build this airdome deep in the ocean sea? Isn't that stupid.

    maybe they're amphibians or something.

the dome was also probably paid for by english taxpayers and sold at a massive loss to the mad shahugian king.

    1. They are amphibians.
    2. They never built the place - it was elves (drow probably) and you can even hear a clue to that from someone there
    3. And why they live in air if they don't really need it? They must have it to keep surfacers alive so they can get fresh meat later. I.e. remember that Ettin you fought there?

    GOTCHA!

Also, don't forget the plot would be a bit lame if you all died at that point in the adventure

    j/k

As an after thought, which concept was made public first - the Gunguns underwater air buble city for creatures that can breath water in 'The Phantom Menace' or the one for the Sharkmen of BG2?

I have pundered about that one too. Lucas wrote all his scripts back in the 70'ties. So he claims. He felt compelled to skipping the first three and made the movie "episode IV. A new hope".

I don't know if Bioware had a sneek peak in t´he filmmaking or his manuscripts. But both were developed in 2000. Considering that The Gungan city is a major plot it must have taken ages to incorporate the work in the movie. And the Shahugian City seems to me as a somewhat impulsive sidetreck/storyline. And it can't have taken very long to make, next to "the Phantom mennace".
    I think Bioware borrowed it.

If anyone did borrow it was probably Bioware I agree. However, when Lucas says he wrote the scripts in the 70's it has to be rembered that they have changed considerably. I think they were more of an outline of the main rising falling redeeming hero thing (Vader).

So much got changed even as the films were being made (especially SWIV). If I remember correctly it was originally intended that Obiwan would not be killed. Also the ewoks were originally going to be wookies I think.

Anyway, my point is, I would be surprised if he had the whole underwater thing in the 70s (maybe). It was more likely he just had the idea of a technically inferior race living with the Naboo (if he even had that level of detail and assuming it has remained unchanged).

Oh well, if Lucas had any sense of duty, he would be posting on these boards to let us know :D

lol, It's amazing the rubbish you pick up when you've been a fan for so long (since seing the original as an 11 year old). Playing the roleplaying game with loads of resource books form West End Games helped as does having two enclyopedias (one in book form anothe on CD) and buying various comics and most of the books over they years.

I guess you have various Starwars links but just in case:
    http://www.starwars.com/ http://www.dhorse.com/sw/ http://starwars.hasbro.com/low/low.htm http://www.stwing.upenn.edu/starwars/
    etc etc

I haven't been to some of them for quite a while so I don't know if they are current.

You are truly a linkmaster and I appreciate Your work. Even though I am Totally addicted to the SW universe I haven't quite progressed this to the the Internet:

Here is a little diary of my visits to Your links:

    First visit http://www.starwars.com/
This link I felt an urge to visit first. A lot of info. Almost overwhelming, Great place. I going back there tomorrow.

    Second visit. http://www.dhorse.com/sw/
Boy did I get confused. I was transfered through numerous of places.all saying that dark horse had moved. My slow connection gave me several popup pictures. Fun to watch at, while the progress bar advanced slower than any "chinchikka fastpawn".

I finally dug my way to this place http://www.tfaw.com/ where I could beat up BLIP a webpage mascot. I beat him up just as a gesture to their slow webpage loading time.
Anyway from this page I could choose a SW link. But sadly enough I got an error message 404. Phewww! thank god it wasn't a 405.... :D I'll try and solve this puzzle tomorrow

    3rd visit. http://starwars.hasbro.com/low/low.htm
My server couldn't find this page. Tough luck

My 4th and last visit was all the waiting time worth. This link provides You with an exceptional realistic experience of making a failed Hyperspace jump. Truly worth a visit. Try it out http://www.stwing.upenn.edu/starwars/

Enough SW jibberish. And Again thanks for the Links Slappy.

:( /me bows his head in shame. I can only apologise for not checking they were up to date. I was being harrased in the chat room by Extremist ;) is my feeble excuse. I will try and look at some of my other links to see which are worthwhile and post them.

    EDITED

    As promised updated working links: http://www.starwars.com/ http://starwars.hasbro.com/ http://www.emperorshammer.org/index1.htm http://www.darkhorse.com/starwars/index.html http://www.stwing.upenn.edu/starwars/rpg/ http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Shadowlands/4504/ http://www.ccraig.org/everything.html

Nobleman, you shold really get in the chatroom, though I would advise not to use the JAVA thingy if you wcould avoid it.
I have a great deal of experience in mIRC, which is the best program around to access the channel. You can find link just below this post and I will be happy to help you through any problems you might encounter (hope I dont sign up on to much though)
