Can't say I know. But it if things were really bad, she would have replied with a plain no. She does need to sort things out in her mind, if to make a decision or just to come up with a way of refusing you without hurting your feelings. Perhaps she's reluctant to get out of her current relationship. If she tells you a kind and polite no, then I can't say you don't stand a chance ever. Perhaps a day will come when you're both single at the same time.

Hmm..well man I'm no expert on woman, just when I think I have a better understanding of them I get knocked back down a level or two. But what I can tell you from personal experience I think that you're reading to much into this. I personally think she liked you more then a friend but something you did made her turn cold. Now I'm not saying she hates you but anything beyond just being a friend is probably out of the question. I know you probably don't want to hear what I said but man I had the same problems as you did and there were friends who would say just go talk to her and tell her how you feel when all along I should of listened to the ones who said hey, there's plenty of other fish in the sea. But on a positive note, be a friend to her and she may hook you up with one of her cute friends someday :D

Oh and to answer the question of why men get to be so afraid of women is easy...the fear of rejection. Once you've been rejected and burned by Women so many times you don't even care after a while and it gets easier to talk to them.

Sorry for no reply... I've had little time at the computer recently...

She has feelings. Or had, at least. But she's unwilling to leave her current boyfriend, for reasons I'm not sure I fully understand, and I wasn't too willing to pressurise her for a more in-depth response. She had got used to the idea of not being with me that she doesn't feel any need to be, I think was the point. Perhaps something will come up in the future, if she and her current boyfriend split. It's all I can hope for, really.

    Damned if I understand women.

Alavin, some girls tend to be unwilling to leave their boyfriends even if they have feelings for someone else. There are even girls who will cheat but won't leave. There are various understandings of fidelity, not like all of them are equally right.

It's commendable to stay with her guy if she has feelings for him and if they have built something together. At the same time, she really shouldn't be romantic with you if she's unwilling to leave him. I would say, whatever she's ready to do with you when she's with someone else, she is ready to do on you, as well, when with you. Sooner or later, things like this tend to happen.

I'm not putting people all into one sack, as we say in Poland, but it isn't always a great idea to tie yourself with someone who can't make his or her mind or with someone who has a non-standard understanding of fidelity.

Also, someone who already is in a relationship out of sheer commitment and loyalty, might in the future be with you just for the sake of commitment and loyalty. While loyalty and commitment is commendable, most people would prefer to be loved. Then again, such sticking to someone may actually be an act of love -- of love not consciously recognised but really being there.
