Romance is not working?

    [​IMG] I have started the game two times already just because of the romance thing...I think its one of the great things about BGII...the first time I killed the "Poisoned Man" with a fireball and much later on I discovered that and had to beggin all over.This second time everything is going fine, only in chapter 6 Jaheira should(?) be turnned into Vampire and it isn't happening, plus Terminsel does not appear anywhere... I've checked the romance status and its "1" and "set to 53"...Please somebody tell me what's wrong... this is spoiling the rest of the game...

    I presume it is the Jaheira romance you are talking about? Well she is one hard to get lady, you should download Extremists romance guide from the BG2 downloads section on this site. There you will find the answers to all your questions.

    Jaheira doesn't have to be turned into vampire in all cases. Lacking of this episode doesn't affect the romance anyhow.

    If you start to get the same dialog from Jaheira over and over, post again.

    the luvs only get taken if the RomanceActive global(i think) is 2

    The vampire episode happens only if you are in later stages of romance.

    Lacking of this episode must not be taken as a notification that your romance is broken.

    If it happens - fine. If it doesn't happen, so what? A good reason to replay the game again, right? ;)

    You should complete the romance by at least chapter six, it won't continue in Chapter7, Anyway if Bhodi doesn't take your luv away it means you get an extra fighter

    I wholeheartedly agree with Joacquin. You may want to download the Extremist and Slappy Romancing guide. After probably about twelve attempts to complete the Jaheira romance I had almost despaired of ever completing it. I saw the guide and figured one more shot at it would'nt hurt.
    Just last week I was finally able to complete the Jaheira romance. I even managed to get through that pesky dialog loop too! Thanks a million Extremist! You rule dude!

    Personnally I found the romances easy, you lot just don't know how people think

    Just treat them as your Character would and it all works out, thats what I think
