    [IMG] Just wondering if people have beaten BG2 as many times or more as the original.

    I beat the first one seven times and the second one only 2.(though I plan on beating it once more and doing everything possible.)

    I think I have completed BG1 three times while I completed BG2, well a whole bunch of times.

    Let me see - first I played Good, then Evil, then two more times to pick up the romances that I didn't experience to that point.

    Then TOB was released but I had erased or lost my saved games so I went through again as both good and evil. Then I went through with a Kelsey romance. After that I did a Tashia romance. I am currently playing evil with Valen in my party and I plan to go through at least once more with a Solaufein romance.

    I guess that makes it eight times completed with a ninth in progress.

    I don't think the numbers on that poll go high enough. :D I've played all the way through at least two dozen times so far, and I'm still playing. Gotta love mods. :cool:

    My first time through was with a party of 6 PC's because I was so used to creating my entire party from the earlier D&D games.

    Second time was for Viconia's romance. Third was pure evil kensai-thief. Then I did Anomen's romance while "soloing" a monk until the end of Chapter 2, then quit that game when I screwed up the romance... so I didn't count that one.

    Right now, the fourth time through, I'm doing Aerie's romance with an Assassin. (poison weapon + Tuigan Bow = entire group of enemies slowly dying :cool: )

    I hope to later try a cleric/fighter/mage, solo sorcerer, then berserker-cleric (yup, I read that essay on SP). After that, I'll do a ranger (never tried the stronghold quest yet) and Jaheira's romance. Then I'll consider maybe some of the mods, or some of the other classes.

    Ah, I always end up doing this: plan ahead with much ambition and then never get around to playing the game!

    BG1 = at least 20
    BG2 = at least 15

    My favorite chars are a Kensai/Thief, Kensai/Mage and a Sorceress. There's alot of really cool kits in The Darkest Day. I hate it when you're killing some guy, and he just won't DIE! :mad: It happend to me with Pasha today. I had him beating at a Fire Elemental (his sword does nothing to it) and walked away. Ten minutes later, I come back and just see him die. It was weird. I hate those damn bugs :rolleyes:

    I'm still a newbie. -Sigh- I haven't gotten to the end even once. Does it count that I've re-done chapters 1&2 at least 15 times?

    I'm such a perfectionist. Everytime I find out I've missed a quest... overlooked, killed a guy too soon, didn't have the right npc at the right time, hit a bug... I start over.

    Now I'm playing with the "Ease of Use Mod" so that I can do *all* the strongholds and *all* the romances. My to do list is sooooo freaking long! Every time I walk from one district to another, a messenger comes with another mission. -Groan- I'm on day 42, and I'm only in Chapter 2.

    But secretly the part of me that doesn't want to miss *anything* is having a great time.

    If you want, download Dungeon-Be-Gone. It cancels out chapter 1, so you don't have to mess around with all that. It gives you expierience, items and NPCs you would have gotten had you played the thing normally. Anyway, if you've done chapter 1 15 times, you should probably get it. I don't consider it cheating, since it's just basically saving you time instead of just making you frustrated. It really works too, and theres voicing.

    BG1 --> more then 10 times (nearing the 20)
    Totsc --> 3 or 4 times
    BG2 --> 4 or 5 times
    TOB --> only once

    I usually start with BG 1 importing that char in BG2 and then I don't have the power to take that char through TOB once more. That's why I did TOB only once.

    I am in total agreeance with you I am only up to chapter two but have done all the sub quests and most of the optional and npc quests (trademeet, Umar hills, windspear hills etc) and it is not easy either.
    I did the Shadow dragon very early and I had not fully grasped the concept of many of the stratergies. I just went in and tried to attack it as you would say an ambusher in Athkatla. I did not last long to say the least. :(
