Thanx, but will you please explain what is Thanksgiving?

"Thanks" - ok I understand that word. But what has it got to do as a prefix to "giving"?!?! Shouldn't it be "givingthanx"?

Whatever, I haven't a clue what are you talking about anyway and I don't remember something called thanksgiving in Baldur's Gate 2 SoA... Ah, maybe it's in ToB, silly me...

Heh, it's in neither of the games.

Now I don't know exactly what it is either, only that it's a day celebrated by them Americans, and maybe some others. Also, a lot of lifeless turkeys are consumed that day... ;)

As you've probably understood by now, I don't celebrate this, but I wish all who do a great Thanksgiving anyway. :)

Whatnots would perhaps be the proper forum for this, don't you think?

Yes, Thanksgiving is a holladay celebrated by us Americans. I don't know much about the history of it though. It has something to do with the pilgrims that came from England and settled here. It was a big feast that they had with the Native Americans that lived there at the time. They had it to show they were thankfull for all the stuff they had and their health and any thing good that had happened to them. They invited the Natives to show they were thankfull for the help they had given them. Those are the reasons we celebrate Thanksgiving today.

We usualy do have turkey on Thanksgiving. Some people have ham. People usualy also have things like pie, patato salad, cranberry sause, and a lot of other good food.

Pilgrims are people that came to America on a ship called the May Flower. At least I think that was the one.

They came because England at that time made it illegal to practice any religon but the king's. That was the main reason that I know about that they came here. So they came here to pratice their own religon. It wasn't much different from the one they had there though. I can't think of any other reason about why they came over here. But there were probably more.

I'm lucky I don't have school today because my history teacher wouldn't be able to shut up about the pilgrims and the history of Thanksgiving.
