Had snow here once - and that strangely enough was in winter, not summer (you backwards northern hemisphere peoples!) - but that was hardly very thick snow. Have to go up to the mountains for proper snow, or down to the South Island. Although we did have our first thunderstorm this year, a few days back. Summer finally arrives the same day the thunder and rain did... typical.

Our first snowfall occurred 2 weeks ago, but we only got an inch or two.

It snowed last light and there's 3-4 inches on the ground - time to test my snow tires!! WhoooHoooo!

I live in the state of Maine and we are getting hit right now. This storm is going to bring about 10-12 inches of snow. Yeppie for us home owners who have 250 feet of driveway to shovel.

We just got 6 inches last night. It took me 2½ hours to get home -- it a co-worker 4 hours.

    What fun, boo.

I wish I would only get 6 inches. Most of the time when the weatherman/woman say we are going to get 6 inches we get a foot. If they say we are going to get a foot we got either nothing or 3 feet.

No school today! Yay for snow! Not sure how much we have, but it's at least 3 or 4 right now, and it's supposed to get to 10.

Good God man! Late September through early June? In Montana? That's worse than most areas of Canada, and being further north, you'd think they'd get MORE snow.

We get such random amounts of snow that contrary to what some people might say, it actually is funny. Like last year my mother took a week off from work in mid February to clean up around the house. The day before she started her 'vacation', the sun obliterated any sign of snow. My mom managed to pull out the dead plants from the garden, and then the night before she went back to work we got about ten inches of snow. And then there was the blizzard/ice storm of '98. That was good fun, I mean there was so much snow, we walked to church, which usually took about 15 minutes, but because of all the snow it took nearly an hour! Then when we got there the priest was inside with a few people, and they actually cancelled the mass because none of the alter servers or other helpers showed up!

Well over here it has snowed twice now, today's snow is about 7 inches deep (approximately 17.8 cm). Wow that was some hard shoveling!
