When should I dual?

I wonder what level you think that dualling a fighter to a cleric would be best?
Should I do it at lv7 or should I wait a while for the thac0 to get better?
    thx. :)

[IMG] oh. Did I ask that question already? :( sorry.
    In wich topic?
BTW, what makes Keldorn so great? What´s so great about true sight? (Never used him, so I don´t know....) :p
    thx.

True Sight is a Divination spell that will cancel the effect of any illusion in the area, that includes Mirror Images, Misleads, Invisibilities, characters hidden in shadows and all other nasty things that makes our life harder.

Keldorn can use Carsomyr, that does it for some of us. :(

    hmm. cool.
I`ve at least decided to get Keldorn in my party...
But I won´t put anyone in my party before I dual. But I don´t know when to do it. :(

IMO so is Keldorn awesome. He is a bit overpowered with Carsomyr and the bracers of dex.
Every enemy magic user is a piece of cake if you have Keldorn with Carsomyr.
Too bad he is a annoying paladin that dont like a bit of fun.

As a mater of fact my main hero FMT is much more powerful than Keldorn with simple Staff of the Magi.

I think the good thing about Keldorn, actually the Inquisitor Kit, is their great Dispel Magic ability, more powerful then any mage.

Oh and are you going to dual from a plain fighter or a fighter kit?

The true sight reveals most, if not all illusions. And as Keldorn rarely casts spells, he can find the time to do the true sight. Besides, it remains several rounds, so opponent's going invisible get revealed again. An Inquisitor's dispel magic easily defeats all mage/cleric dispels, only rivalled by greater dispelling, but that's a 3rd edition spell so don't wait fot it before Pools of Radiance come out :p Oh yes, the Inquisitor's special abilities take next to no time to cast, so failing the casting is pretty uncommon (it happens though).

How come your FMT was so powerful? Seems like he couldn't get enough levels to be better than Keldorn in combat. Might be the staff... To tell the truth, I didn't use it, the 'permanent' invisibility wearing off whenever you did anything except walked around drove me crazy. Always had to re-equip the darn thing.

I don't know where you found that info.
What I'm saying I'm saying about the BG2 game and only BG2 game. If it is different from d&d rules I don't know and I don't care. I don't know anything about d&d rules and I don't want to know anything about those rules.

And I'm asuring you that my hex editor and Infinity Engine Explorer don't lie.

These things have the same effect:
    - Keldorn's innate ability Dispel Magic (SPCL231)
    - Cleric spell level 3 Dispel Magic (SPPR303)
    - Mage spell level 3 Dispel Magic (SPWI326)
