CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW CAN I DEFEAT THE BLACK DRAGON OF SULDANESSELAR?
HE IS REALY HARD ISNT HE?

 

I killed him at my first try with a Finger of Death... seems, that I was VERY lucky .

Try the same methods as for other Dragons : summon, haste, harmonic defense, go all around the Dragon and fight... summon again...

That's funny actualy, because it so happens that I also killed the black dragon with a finger of death spell, perhaps it's his weakness. I don't seem to recall that he was very hard, he didn't even use wing buffet on me.

All dragons are weak to lighting bolt.

 

I have killed Firkraag and the black dragon with lower resist, greater malison, and finger of death... It seems to work well.

 

Anyone kill dragons in battle or is everyone Finger of Death happy around here?

Tried using lower resist and some spells on the black one, but it didn't seem to work quite well. I ended up going there and bashed on him like on the other two (shadow and red). Taking them out melee is pretty hard but doable. I think the black one is the hardest you fight regulary but close to the shadow drake, the red one is cheesy, the green I haven't found. But the real killer is the silver one...

 

Bounce a ligthing bolt round the dragon a few times. Apparently, according to this guy called DSimpson, dragons are very weak against lighting.

 

In order of appereance:

Breach, Melf's Minute Meteors, a pit demon and old fashion hacking and slashing (usually I use two fighters up close).

Melee combat against a dragon rocks.

Killing Dragons is not so hard because they don't summon any creature, you just have to put all your efforts on a single enemy. The Twisted Rune is another story... I successed without too much problems, but the tactics were harder than for Dragons (Carsomyr and a Wizard Slayer is really useful for this fight).

I didnt use a lot of spells on it. I summoned some elemental, just to keep the dragon busy while my team was bashing on it. But I did use a lot of protection spells.

 

This one is really simple and not cowardly (no offence.
Two fighters toe to toe ( give them healing potions ) and let your mages cast lower recitance then fire al your magic missles, call lightnings, lightningbolt and Abi Dalzim's horrid wilting!
The ancient reptile is toast, it is fun to beat him up this way!
