How many years did the siege of Handakas (modern Heraklion) by the Turks last?

    A simple one:
What does the city's name, Heraklion, mean?

Te Rauparaha was a Maori chief who lived in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, dying in 1849. He lived through the period that saw the arrival of Europeans in New Zealand. What did Te Rauparaha create that has survived through to the 21st century?

C14 is "made" in the atmosphere and it has to dissolve into water before it is taken by other organism. So the abundancy of C14 in water is different. Even if it dissolved, it has to diffuse to deep sea before it is taken. And for very deep sea, C14 natural abundancy is even lower. C14 dating rule, low C14 = old. But C14 in deep sea is already low compare to atmospheric C14.

dude, this is not a trivial pursuit.
