[IMG] Okay, we've been over the "Which NPC sucks the worst" subject, and it looks like Garrick comes up the winner by a landslide victory (although I disagree).

Anyway it reminded me fondly of a time when my party was just staring, and we had just found that handy Wand of Lightning in the Noble's house in Beregost. Great! lets go use this to kill Bassilus and his gang of skeletons... No mage in the group, so its Garricks job to man the lightning wand. I laughed my ass off as he sets one off through Bassilus which then reflects off one of those standing stones and comes back, killing Bassilus, then continues on through and electrocutes poor Garrick into bloody chunks. I laughed so hard... (1st level Bard + a lightning bolt, a party do not make)

Another good one, was (SPOILER) sneaking Coran behind Sarevok for a good backstab in the final confrontation. When he sets off two web traps and a stinking cloud trap! Luckily he was invisible, unluckily in the ensuing combat a dispell magic made him visible and while he was asleep and webbed Sarevok and Tazok just sat there and mashed him into pudding!

Xan... Killed by a solo kobold in an epic struggle of 6 seconds and a half. Aye, the bards still talk fondly of that battle of the titans years after it had happened. Some legends were just not meant to be I guess...

Great topic. Don't have any funny tales but I was very surprised and amused one of the few times that I decided to take Xzar and Montaron into the party for longer than just to kill the FAI assassin, at the reactions to each other's deaths. These guys actually hate each other. (It says so in their bios but I hadn't bothered to read them before that.) Anyway, Xzar upon Montaron's death: "Montaron... I ... I never loved you!" The first time I heard that I laughed my ass off! And then many, many months down the road when finally getting around to trying an 'all evil' party I had Monty slip a knife into Xsar's back in order to separate them. Monty, only too happy to do so, mutters: "And the mad wizard falls! Saves me the trouble." Anyway, I thought the fact that these two evil characters are paired but hate each other was a nice, amusing touch.

That's indeed funny. I finally killed the Wyvern in the Wyvern Cave after many times reloading with my small party. Unfortunatly the last wyvern attack poisoned Imoen. I had no cure poison anymore and I couldn't do anything else then just watching her die slowly..... and reload again :D

Not very NPC this, but I my main character at level 1 was trying to solo fight a couple of ogrillions. To no surprise, the character was killed by the first hit the ogrillions got on him. And here comes the brilliance (when using the Murray soundset). Chief Mollusk falls apart and the screen is locked, while all I hear is "Mark my words, I shall return to haunt you all!". Haven't been many deaths when I have reloaded with a smile :).

garrick in a desparate suicide mission. ahh the brave kamikaze martyr garrick. after failing misserably to kill the iron throne people in the tower many times i sent garrick up alone in a failed attenpt to blow then up. armed with many fireball spells and the cursed sword of berserking he bravly walked up there and dropped a fireball at his feet. the battle lasted all of three seconds as they swarmed around him and sliced him up. ahh poor old garrick

[IMG] I used CLUAConsole to make about one hundred of the mage in Sorcerous Sundries in a tight room. Then I fireballed the middle. Had some really great screenshots after that, but I found myself really 'shocked' in about thirteen seconds. A her her har har.
