So it's the one at the top of the list right?

the resaon i ask is because i don't want to cheat, i want the official items.

Yes, they are offical. Offical enough that they added them in ToB ;). Good that you don't want to cheat though. They *are* way overpowered though, especially the Robe of Vecna. I don't use them anymore. Oh, and expect to have at least 15000 gold if you want to buy any of them.

    Nah.
    Not added in ToB.

One of those two merchants is added (I bet it was a glitch) only in the latest available patch. Second merchant is still missing - as it should be.

Nope, it was listed in the patch decription. I just reinstalled BG2 and ToB for the specific purpose of getting rid of these, and now they're there again. Don't know about Joluv though, haven't stopped by the CC in awhile.

If you don't like them...*looks over shoulder* Kill them! For you goodly parties out there, just ignore them.

Lord Sarevok, when you uninstalled those, you should have manually DELETED all contents in override folder. Patch entries, 3rd party hacks and fixes in override folder are not removed with uninstall.

As I said, the latest (and only that one) ToB patch contain one merchant - but not the other one. And skip it already, this ain't ToB forum.

Thanks for the reply's, i think i've got it figured.
Another thing though.... i've been downloading sound files from this sight (the Dakkon one ect) and i was wondering where i extract them to. Odviously it's to the BG2 sound folder, but what to i do from there? i noticed theres a noted pad folder there explaining how to insert the wav files, but do i have to do this? or do these files simple have to be extracted to the sound folder.

if using these custom sounds is difficult just tell me and i won't bother, but if it's simple any help would be appreciated.

Just copy everything to the sounds folder in the game's root directory. Then in the game, go to the character screen (the one with the stats), click customize, click sounds, pick the new soundset. Easy. ;)

awesome, that's what i hoped it would be, thanks so much for your help.

Extremist, wrong once again. I DID manually delete everything(by clicking and dragging ot the recycling bin)! I then reinstalled everything including ToB and the latest Patch which I had on zip. So yes, they add them either in ToB, or in the latest patch for it.

But I haven't noticed the Joluv guy, so I suppose you're correct about that.

Don't make up things when you don't know the facts.

And this should be in the SoA forum, since these aren't included in the ToB chapters.

Um, Lord Sarevok, why are of you fighting what Extremist is saying? He's saying the same thing that you say. Let me repeat. DEIDRE is ADDED into the Adventures Mart in the 98 ToB PATCH.

Quote LS, "Official enough that they added them in ToB"

You are wrong about that, my friend. Bioware did not add Deidre in ToB, only in the 98 ToB patch.

Thus, when you installed the patch, you unwittingly added Deidre to the game.

  14. Lord Sarevok Guest

Yes, and if I'm not correct the patch was created by Bioware, yes? :)

Anyway, that's agreed, so lets just drop it. I just don't like people fabricating evidence to use against me :).
