Slashdot has shared some Dungeons & Dragons Online impressions or, actually, quite a lot. Here's a clip:

When I say impressions, I feel that I should emphasize my level of interaction with the game. I've only been playing the game for about a month total time now, which is hardly enough to take in the length and breadth of a game the size of DDO. When I reviewed World of Warcraft in 2004, I'd been playing the game for over six months. Here I just have my ten days of beta try-out and the time since the retail headstart began. As an MMOG, DDO will be changing and adapting as players play and devs develop. We'll do our best to keep you up to date on the game as it changes, and keep you informed if the state of the game becomes drastically different. That said, I do feel I have a good enough grasp of the game to offer a considered opinion on the game as it exists at launch.

Read the whole thing at Slashdot.

The article starts each paragraph with a positive then ends with a negative, it's very easy to see the author's bias here.

People looking for an EQ or WOW clone really should go back and play them, because it isnt. For me it's far superior.

The only thing it is missing is the oodles of content to keep people playing, in time that will come.
Other races, classes, areas, creatures etc are all on the drawing board.

He is right about one thing.. it's not for hard core gamers YET.. they will run through the game extremely fast because that is in the END their focus.
I'd rather a game go for quality than cater for the rusher that cant enjoy the things as they go.. and in the end ruins their own fun and complains about it. Going out of their way to build the "powerbuild" or ultimate warrior and complain that it's TOO EASY, when their build is EXACTLY what's made it that way.
