    It's been a busy, mostly maintenance-oriented week around here, which is the kind of work surrounding a website that becomes a routine and is therefore suitably boring (even more so to write about), despite being necessary. However, I have also started putting together another site content update, which will likely go up before next week's SPH.

    An idea that I've been considering lately is to abandon the kind of updating that I've been doing thus far (first make all the changes locally, then write a report of all the changes, then upload everything) in favour of more frequent minor updates here and there, but without actually noting every single change or addition anywhere. The advantage would be that things could go up much faster, especially submissions, but the downside would be that only I would know about them (and potentially the person submitting the material), and any people who just happened to check the pages where the changes and/or additions had been made.

    I guess the main question here is how important those change logs I keep writing are. If people actually do read them for every update, then the faster approach wouldn't really be preferable. But if not, it just might be...

    Comments, anyone?

    Let's see. I read your update. However I may or may not check out the changes/additions. I'm sure that if something interests me I'll catch up with changes/additions at some point.

    I'm in favor of making it faster for you. Naturally if you feel something is really important you will tell us so. :)

    Well, overall it wouldn't save me much time (if any), because doing a bunch of smaller updates separately would probably amount to as much time used in the end as now. The only real benefit would be that changes or additions would be available online sooner. But it's not much of an improvement if no one would know about them...

    I agree. I read each and every one of these SPHs, as well as the Site Update threads. Without them, I probably wouldn't even know when my stuff went up for at least a week. :shake:

    I have to say that, although it does not make it easy for you Tal, I have to say that being able to tell the updates and additions that you do in SP is very important, especially to some one that wants to submit something, that being a new mod or a review/ walkthrough. That person will like to sort it speak "Advertise" his addition and without a log for it, no one will know about it.

    I read them, but it is kindof hit or miss with me. I go through all the game pages on a regular basis, and that is where I usually find the changes. What ever you think is best Tal.
