I'm thinking about deviating from the all-paladin route and actually taking prestige class levels this time. The options include Harper Agent, Divine Champion and Neverwinter Nine. Stats are 14/8/12/16/14/14 or something close, very close. ;) Any suggestions?

I'm enjoying the Paladin/Divine Champion/Neverwinter Nine I'm playing now - it seems to fit the campaign well.

I'd like to try a rogue/duelist and some of the other prestige classes. With stats like that, I'd go wizard or bard...I don't know, I'm terrible at that.

My approach is concentrate on playing, rather than just setting up to win (although winning is really the overall point). Meaning ... I choose classes to challenge me rather than to win the game. With Balders Gate II, and the IceWind Dale series, the game responds to the choices I make and gives me a new exprience and a new set of challenges each time.

Seems that NWN II may not be quite up to scratch at this though - time will tell.

I'm playing as a bard/harper agent, and its been pretty good, I really like the Harper. Its got some good abilities, but it sucks that you can only take 5 levels of it :(

Always played as a rogue since NWN came out and nothing has changed. This game is highly enjoyable if you like hiding in shadows, picking locks, disarming traps and sneak attacking.

Bah. Why hide in the shadows when you can turn your enemy to ash with the flick of a finger? Wizards and Sorcerers all the way!

Divine Champion...always a solid option...and why not go for both Divine Champion (for the feats) & NW9 (sneak attack)??

I'd say try out Divine Champ. It's much like going straight paladin RP wise and gives you some cool new abilities. If you go NW9 afterwards, it's just further acknowledgement of your role to defend the city.

If you want to power-game a little (or even RP having the skill to be a NW9), try taking 4 levels of fighter for the weapon spec. feat. It's actually a very good feat.

Is the warlock any use or does the class just sound cool. Its the old dilemma of measuring up whats statisticly much better against which makes you feel more bad ass. For instance the shadowdancer if crossed with a thief was a far better assasin than the assasin class itself, but being an assasin just feels right and sounds a lot cooler than shadowdancer.

if you try not to look at statistics and DPS, the warlock is an okay class, perhaps similar to bard / sorcerer, but more oriented towards spellcasting

he has a special selection of spells (called invocations) but they're not nearly as good as those from arcane or divine schools, often focusing on damage per round or incapacitation, rather than direct damage
on the positive side, he can cast spells over and over without the need to rest, and can use upto medium armor (with the BC feat) without casting penalty

it's perhaps ironic that the only new class in this game is poorly implemented and there are many bugs associated with warlocks and their spells
i strongly recommend you install a spellfixes compilation mod if you want to play the class

Warlock is good. Doing wizard damage isn't important if you can do damage + disable the target in 1 shot.
