I've just loaded up NWN2 and I am giving the tutorial a run through. My last CRPG was TOEE and therefore I'm now conditioned not to hit the Quicksave and instead use the normal save routine. Is NWN2 safe to use the Quicksave or should I continue to use the named save method?

use both, with current patches its prety stable and it creates autosaves ever so often. but use quicksaves while playing and a name save when you end the game, then you should have no trouble at all.

Yup. Same here. I make some 'global' saves and in-between I only make quick saves. I had no problems in that regard in NWN2.

Also, use name saves before you start a quest or section of the game that you might come to regret later on, and then quicksave during the quest/section. This way you can always reload back right at the beginning of it, so you lose as little time as possible.

That's just a general thing I do in all games, I started doing it in PS:T since there are a lot of things there that can go wrong - it's not so bad in NWN2.

Quicksave befrore minor events, in case of computer problems and if you are vs'ing strong creatures. Main Save for everything else.
