Firefox. Eh, true there's no more ADS in Opera. It *had* been a *long* time since my last use of Opera... they're both good. Far better than Internet Expl-Horror

I have to vote for Firefox because I don't know anything about Opera. :) I have Firefox for most browsing and Expoit-er, *Explorer* for online gaming since most host servers don't like Firefox.

Well, I use Opera and don't see the banners anymore.

And I cannot live without the mouse commands anymore, so Opera it is.

I cannot make Opera connect to the internet, so it's Firefox for me. I didn't vote, though, since I can't actually compare the two.

you can download several plug-ins for firefox that do emulate mouse gestures (some of which are relatively bug free and well implemented), although if you want firefox even close to providing the out of the box functionality that comes with opera, you'll need a whole bunch of extra downloads, which I personally found to slow firefox down even further

    Firefox, gives you many options.
Add-ons are freely available for playing a large amount of media right in the firefox website itself, saving a lot of browing time.
    It is also supremely customisable.

The downside is that it beomes a resourse hog. If your computer is strapped for RAM like mine is, you might have to close other programs or it freezes up for a while before loading a page.

Opera lets you automatically sign in to various sites, so you no longer have to remember every single password.
You can also have Opera automatically start with all tabs which were open when it last shut down.
Opera also opens only in tabs.

Opera however is quite unstable. It might shutdown for no real reason.
Also the coding seems to be a bit different and a small number of sites will look quite odd in Opera.

Firefox is superior to Opera. The only reason for choosing Opera over Firefox is if your comp is slow.

Opera is free to use nowdays -the ads were removed a little while ago. I don't know how well it performs since I have used only FF, but anything is better than the ancient IE. Thus, FF and O are equally good in my eyes.

Firefox, due to AdBlock and Find As You Type.

Opera's better if you never use those two though.

I have used Opera for a few years and will continue to do so. It is fast and has all the features that I need.

Taza, how do you activate that "find as you type" thing? I've done it, but only by accident before.

Find As You Type is in Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Accessibility, IIRC.

How to use it? Just start typing. THE feature Opera doesn't have.

Firefox and Opera are pretty equal overall.

Actually Firefox can do all of that too, so it's a none-issue.

Opera's good, but Firefox is great, which is why I use the latter. The customization really won me over. And it's very fast on my PC, not to mention it renders most IE-only web pages without a hitch.
