I've been looking everywhere for a Jon Irenicus soundset, but have had no luck at all.
Found one here for IWD, but not for BG2..

I remember having an Irenicus soundset once before, but that was a few years ago.
And a year or two before that, I had a different Irenicus set, and had absolutely no luck at all finding it again.

Now it seems I won't be able to find this one again, either.
Unless, of course, someone here who reads this happens to know where I might download a copy.

And thus my question; Does anyone know where I might find a Jon Irenicus soundset for BG2?

Also, I'd like to know if there are any other websites that have many soundsets available for download. I think I knew of one once before, but that was so long ago that I cannot remember the name of the site. Doesn't help that it's 1:25AM EST, meaning I'm rather tired, either.

Try the Icewind Dale Voice Pack Converter with the soundset for IWD. I used this program to convert the regular soundsets from IWD2 (I like the Bard and the Fighter n°5 soundsets from IWD2 a lot).

I took a look at the converter, but it says you need to have IWD or IWD2 installed for it to work, and I don't have either.

The Irenicus soundset for IWD is playable with WMP, and because of that I was able to manually "convert" them to work in BG2.
Didn't need the converter after all, thankfully.

I checked the character out, and it indeed comes with it's own soundset.
Unfortunately, the sounds are a bit louder than I remembered..
But they ARE the sounds I used before, though.

Also, thanks for the link. Found some great soundsets at those links.

ah thats good, you could submit it to SP so others can get it without having to go thru all that you did.

I'm not satisfied with the way it turned out..
And because of that, I won't upload it.

However.. I've decided to create a new set from Irenicus' voice clips I've extracted and converted to be readable by WMP.

I'll upload THAT set, when its finished.

    I've just sent it in.
I put a lot of work into this, and have made sure it sounds good.

It is still similar to the other soundsets, naturally, but I've searched through every single one of Jon's voice clips several times and have made it as unique as possible without making it sound ridiculous.

6 sounds were not included, however.

    The sounds missing are as follows;

Reaction to being in the City
Reaction to being in a Dungeon
    Reaction to Daytime
    Reaction to Nighttime
    Thief Skill: Hide in Shadows
    Thief Skill: Set Trap

If someone is capable of immitating Irenicus' voice and intonation, i'm sure we can figure out apropriate lines and have that person record them, to be added to the soundset...
