I want to know what the favorite familiars of you people are or if you don't like familiars and mages at all.

Anything with 24 hp. They give the most bonus to your mage while sitting in your backpack, as you'd be crazy to ever bring them out and get them killed by a stray fireball.

As Volar stated, familiars aren't good enough to survive on the battlefield. That's why I keep mine always in the backpack

I personally want my familiar make things that my mage can't. That's why I love my cat. She is a better spy than 007. And CN alignment is the best for me.

I like the fairy (faerie?) dragon. They can turn my whole party invisible! Plus they can distrace a foe or two in combat with mirror images if one is careful. I just don't normally play a good alignment. I like the NWN familiars much better. The pixie is great for the lockpicking and trapdisabling abilities.

You know, if people were interested in NWN familiars, wouldn't they go, say, to the NWN forum? Or do we just like showing off our new game to everybody?
