[IMG] Quick do-gooder class question: What are the exact conditions for paladins and rangers to fall? Do they vary in BG1, BG2 and Tutu?

    Thanks in advance.

Any change in alignment actually...(downward change that is) I think if you go below chaotic neutral you'll fall, I could be wrong tho.

[IMG] Gosh, stretching my memory now...

I *believe* it is by dropping a certain number of reputation points. I cannot remember if it's dropping by a certain amount (one for paladins, three for ranger I *think*) or dropping below a certain VALUE (for example anything below the starting rep)

As far as I'm aware the same system was used throughout the saga and not changed in TuTu unless you use the Virtue mod.

I´m not even sure if the Evil paths in the Hell trials will make you fall. The alignment switch is a trigger, not a core change in the character build. If you open a character in an editor like IESE that is, say, Neutral Good, but is changed to Neutral Evil because of the Hell trials, then he/she will still be listed as Neutral Good in the editor, not Neutral Evil. It is a trigger, not a character change per se. Sure, your character is SHOWN as being Neutral Evil, but I believe that only a drop below 6 (my memory fails me here) in your Reputation will trigger a Fall for Rangers and Paladins. As far as I remember, you can actually have a Neutral Evil Paladin or Ranger because of this. Don´t take my word for it, though. But, playing as a Paladin or Ranger, you should know Evil deeds when you´re faced with them.

My memory agrees with yours, Yulaw9460. By taking an evil path in the Hell trials, it is possible to play through ToB with an Evil Paladin. Incidentally, Baldurdash prevents this.

If I remember right, a Paladin will fall if the party Reputation drops below 10. The value for Rangers is, I think, 8.
