i'm in sort of a pickle in the harper's quest... after I finish the first part of it, when xvar gets killed, I was supposedly given a harper's pin, I did not get this, also, I can no longer enter the harper's manor, and the second part of the quest doesn't seem to trigger... even though its been a long time...

  2. Do you have our favorite prissy fighter/druid in you party?

    Xvar?!
    Xvart?!
    Oh!
    Xzar!
    Duh . . . :o

  3. Umm.. I think when Xvar or Xzar gets killed you DON'T get the harper's pin. You get NADA, ZILCH, ZERO, NOTHING. The only thing you get is remorse for being the cause of death for your ex-companion.

You get the pin at the end of Jaheira's romance.

yes, I have our favorite prissy/druid/fighter in my party, according to the walkthrough, xzar was supposed to be killed after that bird you bring to him turns into an assassin, then the second part of the quest involves jaheira being recalled to the harper's

  5. How long was your long time? It's supposed to happen whether you're romancing her or not. Maybe you need to travel in the outdoors longer. Travelling indoors or in dungeons do not count.

[IMG] It happened to me too. When X'var's quest was done, that damn harperling who'd trigger Jahiera's recall didn't pop up, in the meantime I had Jahiera involved.

BTW, I'm bored with the console.

    1. Harper Pin you get quicker if you have a romance with Jaheira - but it is NOT romance item, ok? You only need to have her in your party ALL THE TIME and you'll eventually get the pin. BTW, if you have low reputation, you won't get the pin when Terminsel appears (reputation is checked if you don't have romance with Jaheira).

    2. It is true, you won't get anything while in dungeons. Crawl outside a bit. And of course, all of this is REAL TIME related, so resting won't help you - it just affects INGAME TIME. Do some quests, finish some chapters. If you're still in chapter 3, come on, there is very little chance you'll get the item. Go for Spellhold. With Jakeira in party, of course.

    3. Walkthrough? What walkthrough? That walkthrough seems to lack of enough information. I fear it is one of those "cookbook" walkthroughs that contain mainly cheats and other info is too small to be useable unless we'll speculate.

right as that may be, it still doesn't solve my problem that I can't get back into the harper's manor now... should I be able to do that after I finished the xzar quest?

[IMG] A little thing I noticed way back spring, (so you can't say this is ToB induced) is that if you are outside and you pause the game and go away and do something and come back after a half hour to an hour, as soon as you un-pause the game or shortly thereafter your fellow romancer will have something to say . I discovered this accidently when I had to leave abrubtly and did not have time to turn off the game.
