Hey there, I've got a friend who's running XP on a very, very high-end computer. (Oblivion full settings, Bioshock full settings, can run Crysis, etc. etc.) and we decided we wanted to install BG2:SoA and ToB on it as he's my roommate and we thought it might be fun to go through it together on multiplayer.

So... long story short, it won't register that he has the CD in. His computer opens the CD just fine, etc. etc. Install went great, the patches are all installed, ToB works fine but SoA will not open at all because of this. Anyone know a work-around? A no-CD patch?

(Also we [I say we because we have the same installs all done so we could multi-player] have Darkest Day along with an XP cap remover and the merchants, and of course all the latest patches.)

If someone could post a fix, that'd be awesome :-D

I'm not too sure about the legality of no-cd patches (I think its kind of ok provided you own the game), [snip] hosts one - its under Baldurs Gate 2:Throne of Bhall and then game fixes.

[No-CD cracks are illegal, which is also mentioned in our rules. Please don't post links to them. -Tal]
