Install order and Compatability

OK I've tried numerous ways of installing these mods yet I'm still getting issues. I haven't even made it out of the dungeon yet, but i know regardless more issues will appear if I'm seeing them already. So far these are the ones I've noticed.

1-The guy never shows up for Dungeon Be Gone.
2-The Genie doesn't have Text at all, but my replies are there.

So far that is it, but that in itself is a problem. Here are the mods I'm using Along with the downloaded file name in ( ).

First is the Official Patch 26498 for TOB, obviously. Now the rest:

This isn't my first time playing. I tried this many times and usually give up and play the normal game. I can't for the life of me seem to get this right. Any help and/or advice would greatly be appreciated. I really want to try a Moded game.

 

If you're getting dialogues with missing text, your installation is damaged. The most common ways to do this is by installing mods while an editor is open or installing a mod before a previous install has finished.

As a general rule, I'd lose any of the old mods which get dumped to the override, especially as most of them have been recoded and modernized to be friendlier to other mods. For example #4 is already in BG2 Tweaks, #12 is already fixed by BG2 Fixpack, and #10 is already covered by Unfinished Business and Ascension (make sure you use the current one). Unless you're importing your character from BG, I'd also dump #3. There are few BG items anyway for which you won't find a better counterpart fairly quickly.

 

Thanks a LOT for the fast reply. I've re-downloaded all the mods just to make sure I have the latest. I also got rid of the ones you suggested, including #3.

I will let you know in a bit how it goes.
