    I second (or third?) the vote for Insect Plague. I would have been a little pile of quivering goo time and again if not for those wonderfully comforting little bugswarms.

    I gonna add some extra votes to some spells listed already:

    Insect Swarm: real good against groups of spell casters. Their spells always fizzle when this is in effect.

    Holy Smite: love using this spell for killing off large groups of wraiths, shades, and the undead.

    Death Fog: kills instantly all summoned creatures. Great for use in the Guarded Compound. ToB question: does anybody know if this'll work against Melissan's creatures?

    Bolt of Glory: my ace-in-the-hole against fighting demons. Does 60 damage to them!

    Insect plague is great, I always found it very effective when dealing with magic folk or the party in the sewers, use it with emotion and spook and the battle is almost won.

    As for death-fog: Very good spell, I never tried it on Melissan but there is an enemy in ToB (*hint* *hint* ...) who likes to summon invisible stalkers ... ;)
