[IMG] I have few mods installed and now my party gets constantly affected by Chaos. Still; I haven't found a way to dispel it from my party members. How to dispel it? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean that they are constantly affected by Choas for no reason (i.e. without anyone casting the spell on them)? If so, it's a bug somewhere in your game.

But if you mean that they are affected by Chaos only when they should, then the way to dispel it is the Dispel Magic Spell.

Dispel Magic will get rid of it. Chaotic Commands will protect you from the influence of spells like Chaos (although Chaos is not listed in the spell description) -- it's a 5th level priest spell.

I believe the Aeger's Hide, Equalizer and Lilarcor will also protect from the affects of Chaos.

Sorry for not being precise enough. I have SCSII installed and enemy mages are using it a lot in fights. I've tried dispel magic and remove magic but they only remove protections from party members but not the chaos effect...

I did only Copper Coronet and Circus quest before rushing to Spellhold after Imoen, I'm very low on equipment and stuff because of that, so I can't use Aeger's Hide etc...

Currently my party just entered in Underdark and Drow party is serving my ass to me. I have no means giving Chaotic Command to whole party, and those Drows are good dispelling my combat & spell protections. Last time I had this hard time was when I tried IA. :D

Well, I'll try again with dispel magic. I'll report how it goes. Thanks for the replies Sikret & T2Bruno!

I've had it before when Dispel doesn't remove Chaos/Confusion. Very annoying when you just have to wait it out, especially in a public area and your confused NPC chops up innocent bystanders.

I investigated the matter some more (read: got seriously beaten) and found out that dispel magic doesn't remove charm, chaos or confusion, but my protections are gone by it. Could caster levels affect dispelling? (I mean can 13th lvl druid dispel Chaos wich is cast by 17th lvl mage?) My Chaos'ed protagonist just beat the hell out of Vithal and I couldn't do anything about it.

Also those drows summon couple of Nabassu's and those attack my party even when Protected from Evil. Is that supposed to happen?

    I have installed following mods:

    G3 Fixpack
    Ascension
    Kivan
    Xan
    Yasraena
    DOQuestpack
    ToD
    SCSII
    Rogue Rebalancing
    G3Tweakpack
    DungeonBegone

I'm so p***ed of right now. I'm gonna kick those drows arses royally. Twice.

Caster level does affect it: the base chance is 50% and drops 10% for every level of difference. So your 13th level druid only has a 10% chance to dispel a 17th level wizard's Chaos.

As for the nabassus, it's an intentional part of the SCSII "summon fiends" component that summoned demons are no longer held at bay by Protection from Evil. If you want to stop enemy mages summoning them in the first place, open the cheat console and enter

    SetGlobal("DMWWReduceDemonSummoning","GLOBAL",1)

Some liches will still cast Gate but you won't get any nabassus or glabrezus.

Thanks for the quick reply -David W-! I'm glad there is nothing wrong in my game! I don't want to uninstall any components, it's time to think new strategies then.

Btw, I love SCSII! Many times I've got feeling enemy AI is like it should have been in vanilla game, most of the opponents only use pathetic part of their abilities. Thank you for this excellent mod!

if you have keldorn (or some other inquisitor) in your party, he can use a dispel magic which is cast at twice his character level (so a lvl 13 would be cast as level 26); this can dispel almost anything in the first try

Since you're using Rogue Rebalancing, you can purchase the Harp of Descant from Marina, the Black Market merchant who resides on the main floor of the Shadow Thief guildhall.

That harp has the power to dispell Confusion on a single target 3x/day.

Someone remind me to read all of you folk's back tactical posts before I try an SCSII run on BG2 content - it sounds like I will need to pay very, very close attention or get used to seeing my NPCs exploding in the "chunking" animation :D

@Master Leo, I have balanced party but no Keldorn. My party is:

    PC Berseker/Thief 9/14 dual
    Yasraena Fighter 12
    Jaheira F/D 10/12
    Anomen F/C 7/14
Xan (as a plain mage) 12
Imoen (as a plain mage) 12

@aVENGER, I went straight to the Spellhold, my plan is to do every quests with Imoen. I did buy only Blade of Roses on my way. But when I get back... because of RR my PC is thief.

@cmorgan, SCSII includes optional component that prevents party members from chunking. (I see now that it was there for a reason :D ) This mod is very customisable (sp?), that's why I like it. For my mediocre playing skills it is very much hard enough, spellcasters AI is suberb.

I haven't wiped those Drows yet, they get rid of my buffs quickly, they're hard as drows should be. Not a joke as they're in vanilla game. Party have 7 members, 2 priestesses and I'm not sure are the rest mages. Funny thing is that hardest fights so far is Yuanti party at the end of maze beneath Spellhold and this. Bodhi and Irenicus were easy in comparison.

Oh, I have hardest level based encounters from SCSII installed, that's why they are so tough. I think.

    @Anjo

Just forgot to tell you that the 7th level clerical spell, Greater Restoration, also does remove confusion.

Does it? I tried Restoration but never bothered with Greater one. Oh well, live and learn. Thx for the info again Sikret.

Side note: SCS II has a component (optional, of course) which changes Greater Restoration to make it affect only one person rather than the whole party.
