[IMG] I am wondering if anyone could help me out. I have installed an IDE Hard drive. with SATA being my main one with my OS (WIn xp). I have only one problem. In the Device Manager the IDE shows up, but under My Computer or anywhere else I cannot access it. What could cause this?
P.S. My IDE's jumper is set to slave. Not sure if that will help any!

    Thanks in advance!

Is that the only IDE drive you've got (including CD/DVD drive) on that cable? If yes, then the jumper should be set to master. This could be the problem (though I would have expected it not to show up in the Device Manager at all)

Yes it is the only one on that cable. Thanks I will try that!

I had a similar problem using a 2nd SATA drive a while back, I transported it to a new computer and it would show up in device manager, but not my computer. It came down to a partition problem, my old comp could read the partition information but the new one could not. I ended up re-writing the partition information using a free program called TestDisk and it's worked fine ever since.

Here's an illustrated guide, hope it helps.

I tried formatting the drive with KillDisk and then using TestDisk as well, but nothing.
