    i believe it allows you to see the bad guy, so you can kill him. Otherwise you cannot finish that quest. If you cant see him he kicks your butt!

    Well, I've heard that it prevents critical hits, and as mages and the like cannot wear any headgear normally, with the excepetion of this mask, it can be quite useful.

    However, this is just something I heard, and could be complete rubbish.

    I seem to remember something about this ages ago. If you do a search, you might find something.

    It's not useful for anything and just cluters your inventory. It's not worth anything either. The people of Athkatla obviously do not appreciate artifacts.

    Actually -any- class can use it including thieves and mages and it prevents critical hits so its worth keeping if you say have a mage who needs a lil headwear. Critical hits can kill yas =)

    You can also see the Guardian if you use a True Sight spell (or Inquisitor's ability).
