[IMG] Would it be possible, by editing, to create a character who can polymorph at will into a dragon?
It would be similar to, for example, Jaheira polymorphing into a brown bear but tweaking and playing with what causes this to polymorph instead into a dragon.
I'm sure it's possible, but how?
Can someone light my way on doing this?

I can't understand if you are speaking only about dragon APPEARANCE, or all dragon powers.

If you want just a dragon look, that's very easy - just use Shadowkeeper and set your appearance and colour. I recommend to enhance your movement rate since dragon form might slow you down. In-game you get this by pressing repeatedly CTRL-6 or CTRL-7 (only if Debug Mode is enabled). Remember that you won't probably pass through any door.

If you want draconis powers too...well that's hard. You need a way to edit spell (somewhere in one of this forums a guy listed the programs you need, search it), then the easiest way is to modify some Polymorphing spell (I suggest the level 9 wizard spell - it has so many different powers that you'll probably find all options into it).

Yes, I meant the other way.
I am aware of simply changing form with the Shadowkeeper program and i tried to tweak the game witht he same program, but was unsuccesful.
Has you said, it is a polymorph with dragons powers.
For example, if you know the expansion Throne of Bhaal, I would like to make a character like Abazigal or his son Draconis. Start of with a normal character, but able to polymorph to dragon form at will.
You said there were programs for that... Got any pointers as to where to look?
    Thanks!!

Dragons obtain their powers from a NON-removable ring (or helmet, not sure anymore). If you can somehow get that to work, but, you have one mean dragon in your pocket :)

Hmm! That does sound a bell man!
I did saw that kind of helmet while browsing through Shadowkeeper, although I didn't know it's use.
Thanks man, you just saved me alot of sh1t!
Now, all I need to know is how to create the "polymorph into a dragon" icon and how to make that helmet appear...
    Any suggestions or pointers? :)

The ring is not-removable, and I have no clue how you can use it on your own characters... Sorry mate.
    Goodluck with it :p

    It is possible.
    Without cheating, of course.

You need to create an new polymorph innate ability.
I suggest you download "templates" from SP and see how those have been made, and you'll get the clue on how to make it for only a particular character.

After you study templates, post again if you have any questions and I'll help you in creation.

    Thanks man, I appreciate.
I already downloaded some templates and tried them.
The problem is that I don't know how to edit or view those templates, which program to use.
I know Shadowkeeper cannot do it and I tried some others, but failed to even get them to work.

ShadowCheater is cheating util and nothing else.

To view/edit those you should install IEexplorer and Near Infinity. Some TeamBG tools might help you too, however I don't use them so I don't know if those are worth experimenting. For editing I use strictly hex editor, but from your posting it's obvious that hex editor is not your 1st choice.

Links on IEexplorer and NI are available on SP, but lately IEexplorer download is not possible on original site. You may instead download it here: http://www.tusoft.de/html/gam_edbg.htm

Finally, many info on Infinity Engine itself you may find here: http://www25.brinkster.com/iesdp/

Thanks for the link and sites, but I cannot download the program from there. A missing link again...
Is there any other proggy that I can use?

    Which program?
IEDSP has removed download section if that's what you're asking for.

[IMG] I meant the infinity explorer program.
I tried every place you gave me, all were down.
So I have been wondering if another program could be used instead of infinity explorer...
