Problems with Anomen's romance

I guess it was because I'd installed the Fixpack after several mods, as in the Spellhold maze, Anomen suddenly interjected that a NPC was approaching - probably the one to tell him about his father, as he's already been knighted and stuff. However, no NPC appeared and I just continued on through the Underdark until I finally reached Amn again. The problem is that now he'll say that the NPC is approaching with the NPC never appearing on practically every map every time I rest. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mods I've had in proper order this time, and I don't know how to summon the NPC needed in the console - help?

 

Sometimes this happens when an NPC is spawned into the game outside of the line of sight of the characters, in the grey areas of the maps, JUST outside of any sight of a character, or in sight of the wrong character. So it's easy to miss.

If you have the console then you can spawn the correct character and initiate the conversation by talking to Anomen using the talky button on the bar.

Thank you! Unfortunately, when I try talking to Terl with anyone, it says he has nothing to say to me (and when I try talking to Anomen, he says that I have to save Garren Windspear's child; I guess I'll have to do that and see if it works after I rescue the kid.)

 

Yeah, I am. I'm also pretty sure I've got the ToB patch too.

 

Terl is a buggy guy even with the patch. During my last game with Anomen, a random Terl appeared in the Slums and stalked us whenever we were in the area, though he never had anything to say.
When he was actually meant to appear, he did, properly, and delivered his dialogue as normal.
I've heard other instances of Anomen's "look, one approaches" with no Terl arriving though I'm not sure how you can fix that. Hopefully it'll fix itself.
