On my MacBook Pro, running 10.5.4, I cannot get the cheat codes to work. I had this same problem long ago (I just picked up the game again after a break). I've followed instructions perfectly -- "Debug Mode=1" under [Program Options] in Baldur.ini. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

Thanks, but still does not work.

    Thanks, Taluntain,

I tried the "Cheats=1" in [Game Options], but still no cheats are available in the game. I'm completely stumped. Do you know of any other possible solutions (other than playing on a pc)?

    Thanks,
    Von Pamp

It worked for me writing Cheats=1 under program options...

von pamp, the only other thing I can think of is that the console doesn't work on the Mac versions of the game... either one or both options listed on cheats.php should work if written properly and unless you're editing the file while the game is running...

    Thanks, still no luck

I was editing while the game was running, but even after I quit the game, checked to be sure the lines were still in the Baldur.ini file, and restarted the game, no cheats. Should I reinstall and edit before playing?

    Thanks again,
    Von Pamp

The problem is that TextEdit puts Unix endings on the line rather than the old endings that the game is looking for. The solution is to download TextWrangler and edit the Baldur.ini file in that program. I just did it and it works.

Here's a link to a thread that tells about this and a few other problems, as well.

Thanks to all, hope this helps a few people.
