I was just wondering if it was possible for Saerovok to ever be killed in the beginning where Gorion and Saerovok battle it out?

Note: howcome Gorion can cast spells like a bitch but other mages cant?

[IMG] No. It's a scripted event. You cannot interact. And it's spelled Sarevok.

No way, Sarevok is just a fighter (as you can see in bg2 ToB) He wears a fine special full plate . He is also no lich but just like you...a child of Bhaal... but with an evil alignment.

The fight with Gorion is indeed scripted, you cannot do anything and Gorion will always die...

Headbanger, He means Gorion not Sarevok. But Gorion isn't a lich either. Spoiler; Perhaps he has the ToB feature that allows you to cast spells real quick. Too bad he had a limited arsenal that day.

In TOB while you are in hell, you can restore him to life if you wish too by giving an ounce of your own life, to him.

you do not have a say in what happens.
and even if you did you wouldn't be able to kill him anyway...

I noticed that when Gorion his Sarvok with magic missiles, they did damamge. When I cast magic missile on him later, he resisted most of the charges :(

It would look stupid if Gorion would've cast several magic missiles and an acid arrow on him, none of which would've had any affect :p

Odd though, one game when I got to him he didn't have magic resistance. Bug? Either way, magic missiles proved to be his undoing (look, I don't care about ac!)

[IMG] And even if you COULD interact, you will be to weak to kill him, but then again if you could interact and are strong enough: You can kill Sarevok! And then the game crashes!

Gorion cast spells, becasuse lazy programmers wrote a script for THE MAGE.
It's just like Elminster.... Have you ever tried to kill him?

Well that's a good thing... What would you do when you killed Sarevok in the beginning?
Wouldn't that make the game a bit useless?

Or when you kill ELminster, wouldn't that spoil the story... Or when he has to appear again, what would happen then?

Let's start first with this question: Why would you kill Sarevok in the beginning?

Because him and his lackey's ambushed you and your foster-father. Therefore, you defend yourself and kill him to ensure your survival.

Indeed. Even Gorion couldn't kill Sarevok... so how would you, with totally 5 xp, gained forkilling 5 rats, be able to kill him? Just accept te story dudes. Gorion was meant to be killed, Gorion had to die... and you had to survive.

Actually, he has more exp than that. Shank and Carbos give some exp, and so do all the miniquests in Candlekeep.

    You can:
    Kill Shank
    Kill Carbos
    Cure a Cow
    Fetch some crossbow bolts
    Fight some illusions
    Fetch a scroll
    Kill some rats
    Find a book
    Get a sword
Oh and you can also get yourself a +1 dagger and a healing potion at no extra cost too!

    God i am sad......
