    [IMG] Hi,

I'm thinking about installing Baldurs Gate 2 again.

The last time I had played it I had Tob and the Ascension and Easy mods installed.

I remember from playing last time when I got to Sendai. I encountered some serious dialogue problems and had wondered if there was a conflict between Ascension and the Easy Mod?

This time I hope to put the difficulty up and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on some mods and things.

Its my fifth time around BG2 and Tob and I really loved this game. Hope someone can help...?

When you say "Easy mod", do you mean "Ease of Use"?

If so, then I'm not aware of any conflicts.

Make sure you have the Official Patch installed and either Baldurdash or the G3 Fixpack. Also, the G3 Tweakpack is an alternative to Ease of Use.

Lastly, be sure to read the installation instructions for all mods you're installing, which might point out incompatibilities with other mods, as well as tell you when it should be installed in relation to other mods.

    Thanks

    [IMG] Hi Splunge,

Thanks I'd forgotten the name, it was Ease of Use.

I was using it with the patch and Ascension installed, however I encountered dialog corruption around Sendai.

I'll try out the G3 Fixpack and the Tweakpack, instead of Ease of use.

What is Baldurdash? I didn't realize there were so many mods for BG2. I've been playing/modding Oblivion for the last few years.

I have just found one called Sword Coast Stratagems II and it looks awesome, can I use this with the G3 Fixpack/Tweakpack and Ascension installed?

    I can't wait...

Just to be clear, you should install the G3 Fixpack or Baldudash, but not both. It should be installed right after the official patch (which in turn should be the first thing you install after the base game.)

SCSII is indeed a great mod. The mod's readme has an extensive list of what's compatible and what isn't. Both the Fixpack and Tweakpack are compatible. Ascension generally is as well, although there might be some components that aren't; again, the readme provides guidance here.
