Hello to you all. I'm new here in this comunity and I respectfully salute you all.
I have a question now. I wanted to try Dave Milward's approach at the game bt reading his walkthrough. But when I try to set the main character's stats I see this :
    Strength 18/57
    Dexterity 19
    Constitution 17
    Intelligence 18
    Wisdom 14
    Charisma 10

They exceed the number of points to be set to the stats. Which are the correct stats after all ?

The stats seem to be correct and rollable if he plays an elf because he has 19 dex. If you want to play exactly this character you have to reroll until the sum of your stats is 96 or higher (which can take more time than playing the game) and distribute the points like he does. It's very unlikely that you get exactly 18/57 for strength however, but 18/51-18/75 all have the same effect and 18/76-18/00 is even better.
If you play a character with 10 instead of 14 wis it won't effect your game at all, even if you reduce wis to 3 it will only affect your unimportant lore skill, so you can create a character who can do what his character can without spending too much time rerolling.

Incredible as it may seem...I actually got a 18/57 roll :D:D in not even 5 minutes. But what does this valor mean exactly (18/57,51,75,etc) ?

Read the stat tables in the manual. 18/.. is better than 18 and worse than 19. The better the value the bigger the bonuses to hit and damage.
    18 < 18/01-50 < 18/51-75 < 18/76-90 < 18/91-99 < 18/00 < 19
