[IMG] Hi, everybody. I searched the forum (and the internet) for a solution to this problem, but haven't found one yet, and since IWD2 tech support is hard to come by I thought I'd post here.

I just made it through the river area in Chapter 1 where you free the druid, and his wife, and Torak, the leader of the Broken Tusk clan keeps showing up, exclaiming his surprise at your continued success. I left this area for the next one where Torak tells his clan to kill you, or die trying, but the game never gives control back to me. The UI is darkened like the scene is still playing, but Torak (and everybody else) just stands there. The only way out is ALT+F4.

The game is patched, and I'm not running any third party mods.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 on an Intel Dual Core with 2 Gigs RAM, and an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 video card.

I increased the cache size to 300, and the AI updates to 60 through the configuration utility, but it didn't help. I'm not running environmental audio, and the game is in 32bit mode at 800x600.

Any suggestions would be welcome as I'm literally stuck, and really wanted to play through the game again.

[IMG] Try re-entering the area from your autosave, maybe it's a one-off problem.
Try re-installing. That's all I can think of.:(

I've had this problem before and I always find that to re-load from a save is about the only solution

I had this problem in the first game. Deleting the contents of the cache folder solved it for me.

Thanks for the tips, but unfortunately none of them have resolved the issue. Even a complete reinstall was fruitless.

You might have to give in and re-install it then

Try using the cheat console to jump to the area after the bugged one, then walk from there back to the bugged one.

Thanks for the tips, everyone, but still a no go. I've decided to play through Baldur's Gate again instead. I know it runs fine on my current rig.
