Since I had one question answered today, I'll go for two.

What's up with that one chick on the second floor of Mae'Var's guildhall? Anishai (I think) is her name. One day I got bored and decided to kill everyone in the world. I walked up to this 'lady' and then tried to end her existence. I used Jaheira and Imoen to cast spells on her while my PC and Minsc chilled for a second next on either side of her.

After she turned enemy, she promptly walked up to Minsc, chopped him one good time with her 'weapon' and he dropped right there, dead as dead can be. The rest of my characters met a similar fate.

So, this effectively makes her un-killable, unless you use some powerful magics. Or you could be really cheap and use the CTRL+Y cheat key.

What's up with this chick, and does her weapon have anything in common with the 'killsw01' that you can give yourself via the CLUAConsole? This thing does at least 1000 damage...

She does have a sexy voice though...

Try killing Renal Bloodscalp and you
will also be killed by an unbeatable
    guard within 2 seconds ...
This guy isnt even killable with CTRL-Y or
    killsw !
    I wonder what armor HE's got ;)

I tried to get away with CTRL-J
(beam me up, scotty !), but that didnt work either.

It has something to do with the consistency of the plot, more I do not know ...
    Regards,
    Carl

You are right, the weapon you are talking about is most certainly the renowned (and every moronic cheater's favourite) killsword.

It only has one purpose: It is equipped on chars to protect the gamepath. BG-2 is still a relatively linear game, so these protective efforts are necesssary. It deals out that massive damage to ensure that the victim is dead instantly.

It also comes to work when you join the shadowthiefs and the attack Renal for example. The formidable Arcanis Gath has the sword then and he uses it to kill your party swiftly. This is unavoidable because you cannot finish the game anymore then: With hostile shadow thiefs and a hostile Bohdi there is no way for you to come to spellhold to loose your soul and to rescue Imoen and so on ...

I didn't knew that Anishai als has the killsword though ... well, probably she has ot to prevent you from messing up the thief quest. Eventually you can easily kill her when you just wait till you complete the quest.

So, what would happen if I just happened to CTRL+Q her? I would be unstoppable....

I did a QTRL-Q on her once. She is actually a Monk. Athough in my battles with her I noticed that she would use oil of speed, which my Monk couldn't use.

    1. The monk you've mentioning is killable and has no special weapons equipped.

    2. The killing machine that appears to "punish" you for thinking that BG2 is Diablo does not wield killsword. Bioware does cheat, but doesn't cheat so obviously. The sword is STDEATH which is special version of Short Sword of Backstabbing you can't get anywhere. And there is of course a ward against it, unlike killsword which can't be stopped by any legal means (items, spells).

    3. There is no chance your monk can't use Oil of Speed. Potions are not useable only by Wizard Slayers.

Extreamist, monks at some point become imune to slow and haste, I have found that they also cant equip any items that confer this effect. So a monk Cannot use boots of speed or the potions of speed

Immunity doesn't mean unusability. Monk is immune on haste effect right from the game beginning. But he is not immune on icons! You don't believe me? Create a monk and give him Oil of Speed to drink. You will see the icon "haste" on the portrait - although Monk won't be hasted.

For the new one... Of course new one appears. That's why I've posted about Diablo players' "reward".
