    [IMG]What we asked:

Q: Which of the listed settlements you could visit in Baldur's Gate would you like to live in the most?
    (563 votes total)

    Baldur's Gate (225) 40%
    Candlekeep (196) 35%
    Beregost (94) 17%
    Nashkel (25) 4%
    Ulgoth's Beard (23) 4%

Not too surprisingly, the relative majority of those who have voted in our poll (40%) would like to live in the game's titular city of Baldur's Gate the most.

The fortress library of Candlekeep is only slightly less popular, being the favourite fantasy living destination of 35% of the poll participants.

The town of Beregost with its wide array of inns and taverns is a favourite among 17% of those who have voted in the poll, so about half as popular as Candlekeep.

The remaining 8% of votes are split almost equally between the towns of Nashkel and Ulgoth's Beard, which won't be opening any new inns due to the influx of tourists any time soon.

The choice for me was simple:

Baldur's Gate = Thieves guild and other nasty stuff
Candlekeep = Some boring monastery/library place
Beregost = Nice little village. With said hookers.
    Nashkel = Kobold problem
    Ulgoth's Beard= A little too random

I'm a city boy through and through, so Baldur's Gate was a rather easy choice. Besides it's pretty chaotic, has some nice architecture, rather lively nightlife...perfect in every way!

I don't get why Candlekeep is so popular. Seems like a rather boring place to me, and unless you've got expensive fancy books you cannot leave the place again, unless it's for good :p.

[IMG] Sa Views, walls to keep out the riff raff, vast collection of books, gardens, a tavern that defies the laws of physics and a nearby supply of suicidal noblemen :)

I'm sure there's a lot MORE hookers in BG. Remember the Undercellar ;)

Or: where can one find the most hookers? An interesting perspective at meriting a town, I must say.

I would have picked Beregost, a nice little community with many taverns and inns and some interesting locations near by -plus you don't get the stench and the hazards of a big city like Baldur's Gate... ;)
