Characters are having heart attacks!

    [​IMG] I noticed some weird bug my second time through, whenever I threw a character out of my party, the instantly died!!!! :mad:

    Is anyone else having this bug?

    yeah Yoshimo. i booted him from my party, and sent him to the Copper Cornet to wait for me. i recently returned, and he died the minute i entered. i figured it was supposed to happen because Edwin and other NPCs in the tavern did not die when i entered.

    [​IMG] Are there any BG2 patches yet ?

    My machine does not like BG2 and any backgound application.
    Sometimes causes slow down and other times blue screen of death. http://www.bioware.com/bgate2/bg2issues.html
    exlained a few bugs but I'm still waiting on a patch.

    i heard there will be a patch out, but not sure when.

    yeah Sylvus, what an unfortunate condition Yoshimo has. this 'bug' wont bother me as long as it only effects Yoshimo.

    I've had the blue screen of death a few times too. As for the characters dying, I have no clue. I hardly ever travel with a party.

    P111 500Mhz Win98 Voodoo3 3000 card.
    I really can't understand why I was having so many problems but when I switched off my virus checker and firewall my machine ran fine.
    The official site I mentioned above says there are quite a few bugs but more with installing the game.
    I installed fine but when I was in the circus my machine crashed quite a few times when entering new rooms or opening chests etc.
    Since then I haven't had the blue screen of death or any other problems but noticed a slow down in a few rooms and strange things happen with the background music.
    I am not complaining it's just its very odd.

    Virus checker is a known problem with all video cards and BG2.
    Interplay also has posted a known bug FAQ. http://webboard.interplay.com:8080/~bgate
    Can't hurt to take a look.

    I have been running BG2 with my virus checker and most of the time it doesn't cause any problems but its just specific areas on the map, within specific buildings or when specific objects are examined that the problem happens and I have to kill it off.

    But does anyone know when the patch will be released ?
