I just started playing Icewind Dale after playing Baldur's Gate. I'm trying to use the same sounds in Icewind that I used in BG. I have made the folder, renamed the files and made sure I have all the required files, but when I play the game I can't here any sounds. Do I need to any conversions?

Read the readme text in the sound folders of each game -- you'll see that the BG games use a completely different organizational convention for PC sound files than the ID games.

I read the text file in the sound folder and followed the naming scheme for Icewind Dale, but I still don't get any sound. According to the text file the same file format is used so I'm not sure what the deal is.

You've very likely made a mistake with the naming somewhere...

Double checked and had someone else read the sndlist.txt file and checked for me. It's not the file names. Any other ideas?
