im fighting kangaxx and i got him near death and im takeing hudereds of hit points off him he still wont die how manny hit points dose he have

 

i didnt think of useing a protecton from undead spell im just cursin on draw appon holy might and pretection from evil

 

I encountered this undying Kangaxx once, maybe it's a bug, I think there is no other way and only have to reload an autosave game or previously saved game to kill Kangaxx again.

 

if you used fake-talk or protection from evil, he won't, he dies by saying something to you.

 

I finally killed off Kangaxx for the first time today. Keldorn, Hallowed Redeemer, Edwin Staff of the Rynn + 2x protection from magic 100% scrolls, haste and strengh potions.

Just wanted to share that

As said above, if you lay into Kangaxx before he turns hostile he will never die. I found this out ages ago while trying to cheat with those cheat longswords that do 1000 odd damage and protect from magic.

I reckon they should have made him say something as he dies though, like "Naaa this cannot be" or something.

 

If I'm not mistaken, you need at least +4 weapons to hit Kangaxx. How did you manage with Hallowed Redeemer and a wimpy staff?

The exact procedure should be:
You find his parts and he transforms into a lich. When you reduce him to near death he is surrounded by a ray of red light.
He is now a demi-lich.
Besides...the staff of Rynn is +4.

 

I suppose you are talking about Daystar, who could cast Sunray. I tried it against Mr. K and didn't even touch him (lich or demi-lich form), but in his description it is +4 against undead. Sunray also didn't work.

Staff of the Rynn is a +4 weapon thats why its called 'Staff of the Rynn +4'.

As for Hallowed Redeemer, I might me mistaken for the name, I mean the +5 two handed sword you get after defeating Firkragg only useable by Paladins.

AFAIK that ray of red light removes all magical modifications from spells, potions etc on anybody caught in it, i.e. protection from magic, haste, strengh modification etc. I had to have keldorn drink his potions again when Kangaxx changed.
