Whoops - Any way to resurrect dead quest NPC's?

    [​IMG] This is about the third time I've played through BG2 (just so you know :) ).

    Currently doing the unseeing eye quest and I rather foolishly opened the lich casket BEFORE doing the whole quest. The blind guy who gives you the quest to get the rod snuffs it and I can't get down the hole thing to get the other half. I realise I could just wallop everything in site to complete the quest but I'd prefer to just bring the poor sod back to life and complete it "properly". Any trainers/cheats to bring back NPC's?

    I think you're stuck, there's no way to resurrect someone who isn't in your party (unless it's a specially scripted encounter, and this isn't). So you can either reload a previous saved position, or go and righteously smite everyone else (I wonder how difficult it would be to kill the Unseeing Eye without completing the quest first?)

    There is no easy way to do this - you'd have to know what you were doing in re-setting globals. You're better off loading from a prior save.

    "Smiting" the unseeing eye without the rod is a little bit too easy actually. Espacially after the previous battle with 4 beholders and 4 mini ones (after the bridge that asks questions).
    The only way I found I could win was to move viconna up past them, turn the shadow fiends nearby and use them as an offensive force. Worked like a charm though :)

    Ah well, don't panic - everythings been walloped and all is well (just missed out on some goodies :( ).
