There are swords with Speed Factor 0 too.

The monk's speed factor drops as he goes up in levels. Remember, lower speed factor is better.

Thor, that might be either the consquence of Monk's level (I don't think that your monk's speed factor have reached 0 though, as far as I remember this would need much higher levels) or, as Rastor said, you have a weapon which has such advantage. I remember one weapon, cannot recall its name now, a shortsword which sets speed factor to 0.

Isn't there some bracers or something that you get in the Sahaugin city that reduces speed factor?

My monk is at level 11 now, and he wields no such swords, and no bracers either. The lower the better, well, i wouldnt know, but he did all of a sudden run just as slow as everybody else...

Speed factor relates to your weapon's speed, not your running speed. A lower speed factor means you can attack earlier in the round (I think).

IIRC the speed factor (using your definition which is the correct one I think) of a Monk also increases while going up in levels.

Baronius, I believe you were thinking of
Kundane +2, a short sword that does nothing special but has no attack speed, thus, very fast attack speed. :p

I currently have a level 9 monk, his walking speed is 2, and, according to the venerable Shadow Keeper, 0 is base walking speed.
Yes, speed increases as the monk levels up.

well, it is the running speed that has dropped. Any reason to that then?

    A curse perhaps?

@Thais: Although I still cannot remember well, I suppose it was Kuldane, yes.

Kundane grants an extra attack. The lower the attck speed the weapon, the earlier in the round you attack with the weapon.

Monks can't be hasted at some level. Maybe that's why he's running slower... Did he use Boots of Speed?

Well, i'm unsure about that, i don't think he had,, but my savegame got messed up anyways, suddenly became unable to enter the promenade because of some strange error, screwing up all of it. So i restarted with a Kensai, soloing through all of it. Ridicoulously easy i must say, i spawned up Kangaxx just to check him out and smashed him dead in a one-hit-ko! That with a Kensai with all his proficiensies in katanas, and then i place the Improved MoD in his arms, and voila. Spawned him again and he slaughtered me before i even got in a hit though.. Hmm.. Oh well, Off Topic, but *whatever*
