[IMG] When using the CLUA console to summon an NPC and cntrl-Q to put them in my party (is that right?), do they function as a regular party member? can they hold items? Level up? I havent tried it yet, but I just don't get how it works. Please clarify, thanks.

Other than being completely bereft of any personality or meaningful interaction, they behave as any party member would. I don't know if you used the download from SP where you can get the NPC's from BG1 or not, and I've tried a couple of these...they are not without bugs...Safana, for example, is listed as a 13th level thief but has next to nothing in her thieving abilities and only 13 hit points...and when you call her in, she's wounded (9/13)..

As for ctrl q'ing monsters, etc., I don't think they level up, but I'm not sure..

No I don't think that they do level up and they also have a tendancy to crash the game somtimes.

    Depends what you Ctrl-Q

    A monster cannot level up

An innocent (villager etc)cannot level up

summond characters made for parties can
At least the NPCs I have made can.

    Ok thanks,
I'm planning on making an evil party, so I want Entreri and others. What is Entreri's summoning code? What are some other good (not too good) bad guys? :) And what are their codes?
    Thanks

BTW dont Ctrl + Q before someone speaks to you. If you do, every few seconds they say "No time for idle banter". This makes playing with them impossible. This might not happen to you. It just happen to me a few time.

will summoned NPCs have their respective voices as per when you talk with them in game?
e.g.will a villager have a villager voice if he is in your party?

  9. Entreti's code is "artemis". Be warned, he tries to backstab you, but he's one hell of a fighter, and thief.

so what happens after he tries to backstab me? does he become docile? or hostile? and if he becomes hostile, can I cntrl-Q him before he does any serious harm? can I cntrl-Q hostile creatures in general?

First, CLUA him in. Then, hit pause as fast as you can. Then, Ctrl-Q.

He comes with an unremovable ring of Invisibility, Dagger +4 Life Stealer (1D4+4, 15% change of Level Drain) and Short Sword +2. He has some sort of an armor, can't remembere what, and even without any armor his AC is -12. It can be increased. He has loads of proficencies and 5 attacks per round with any weapon, Level 12 when summoned and can be leveled up, Over a huudred HP... Can we say Cheese? But at least I still love this guy... His voice pack is good as well. "Prepeare to be eviscrated, fool!"

Well he is the most feared, deadliest, and *almost* unbeaten assassin this side of the Realms.

    BTW, is Jarlaxle any good?

enteri01 also works. Notice I DIDNT spell worng.

Don't summon Jarlaxle, it will be a in engine "movie" then, and it wont happen anything. There are other codes to summon a working Jarlaxle, though i don't remember the code. Check shadowkeeper, every code is there.

A little advice, be carefull with what you Ctrl + Q because some of the creatures haven't got some animations, something that causes the game to crash while you play with them.
