[IMG] LoS is crucis's mod, I wonder if he's heard of the problem before. I never experienced installation problems with it. What I'm thinking, is that it may be caused by an old WeiDU installer not recognising the file type, or by another mod which has already overwritten the file in question. If you have Ease-of-use, Tactics4IWD2, or something similar intalled before it, it may be worthwhile to switch the install order around.

Yes, LoS is my mod, and, no, I'm not familiar with this error.

What other mods have you installed before trying to install LoS?

Last I knew, LoS did have some compatibility issues with the very old Ease of Use mod, since the EoU mod's version of WeiDU is extremely out of date. Also, IIRC, when you have multiple WeiDU mods in the game directory, WeiDU would update older versions of the WeiDU installer to the most up-to-date one in the directory. And in the case of the EoU mod, some of its old code would be incompatible with the much more recent versions of WeiDU. All that said, I don't remember ever seeing any problem that caused an issue with LoS itself being installed.

[IMG] OK, here's what I think might solve your problem: Start over your installation from scratch. Get the latest WeiDU from weidu.org , you can download the latest version. Inside is the WeiDU.exe file. Use it to replace one of your setup-___.exe's. So, you backup and remove the old one, and rename WeiDU.exe to setup-___.exe
Then you doubleclick it once, and it will proceed to update all the setup files present, saving you the trouble. After this, when you install all the mods, they will all be of the same WeiDU-installer version, preventing future problems.:)
    I hope that helps!

Coin, but won't Ease of Use still have issues? After all, its WeiDU code was dozens of rev's out of date when LoS was new 2 years ago. (IIRC, there was only 1 sub-section of EoU where this was an issue, but I don't remember which one...)

[IMG] Randomized treasure caused all kinds of problems, but this wasn't due to the WeiDU being outdated. As for all other compatibility problems, they seem to be fixed by updating WeiDU...

I kept getting an error when installing this mod after Ease of Use. I know it was something to do with Weidu, but switching it for the new one didnt help. I was however able to reinstall IWD2 and use LoS before EoU and it worked like a charm.

BTW, everyone, the error listed in the first post is caused by a more recent version of WeiDU than the one that Light of Selune used when it was originally released. For some reason, since that time, WeiDU has lost compatibility with IWD2's CRE files. I've reported it to the WeiDU forum, and actually have a beta copy of the next version of WeiDU that will hopefully fix this problem but haven't gotten around to testing yet...
