When dual-classing, you have to have at least 17 in the primary stat of the class you want to dual to. So with your stats, you’re OK with a thief (Dex is the primary stat) but not a mage (Int) or priest (Wis). If you don’t mind using Shadowkeeper, you could cheat a bit and raise your Int to 17, and reduce Wis or Cha to 13. Also, since I’m assuming you “tweaked” your stats when you rolled them, you probably should have given yourself 18 Con for the HP bonus that a Kensai can really benefit from. And why is your Str 18? - it s/b 18/xx (unless you just didn't mention that part).

    P.S. - no need to apologise - we're here to help! :D

You don't have to reduce Wis or Cha, but I only suggested it so as to make it less of a cheat because then you're basically just re-allocating your stat points rather than increasing the total.

Actually I have a doubt... I like very much my kensai and I would like to go on with him, on the other hand I know that kensai/mage are very cool...but I i'm afraid to stop my kensai at 9 level!(I only have SoA and then I must do that if I want to dual...) What's the better way?

Level 9 really isn't too far into the game, if you did want to start over.

The dualling all depends on what you want out of your character. Personally, I dispise the "makeup levels" after switching classes, and I'll always multi-class a fighter/mage rather than dual class.

Your character will be more powerful in the end if you dual class, but he'll be a much better fighter if you stick with kensai.

It also depends on who else is in your party - if you already have a mage, then you might not want to bother with dual-classing your Kensai, as I find that one mage is enough (but then, I usually go with a melee-based party).

    Thank's!
The reasons that I have thought to dual to mage are that with spells I can improve my AC...

In that case, I'd leave him as a single-classed kensai. As a fighter, he is awesome at higher levels, and will be much better than the dual-class. While you'd be giving up Stoneskin, you can reduce your AC by having your mage cast Spirit Armour on him.

Go for katanas, long swords and hammers / flails.
    You should be dual weilding.
There is no one-hand weapon better than Celestial Fury in the game, atleast till Chapter 6.
At that point long swords take over.
The two best flails in the game are available right early in the game.
And the Crom Fayer in your off hand will get your strenght to 25.

    Your call really.

Last question: is better a kensai with ** in one hand weapon (and then AC bonus) or a kensai with *** in two weapon style?

Depends on what you want to do.
Stand around and hope they dont hit you or chop em to little bits.
Also your Off-hand weapon will generally be chosen not for how it hurts but what it does for you.eg...

Ajanta:The Drinker will give you immunity to charm n domination spells and heals 1 HP when it hits.
Belm gives you an extra attack to your main weapon (though that is a bug.)
Oh and there exists a Katana which will give you +2 to AC.

Finally there is a 'Cloak of the Sheild' available as a random drop somewhere in Atkathla who's CLUA code I can dig up for you which helps your AC big time.

The Cloak of the shield can be found in the basement of De Arnise Keep, IIRC. You can just fetch it some time later if you want.

You can find this cloak in the Astral Prison, not the De'Arnise Keep. As mentioned above, Firkraag has one too.
