    [IMG] ok, i've gotten down to the encounter in spellhold lvl 5 with bodhi where she has gauths and minotaurs in play. when I try to combat them, however, my main character becmes a "slayer", and wants to kill everything in sight. bodhi quickly slips through to talk to irenicus, i think, and then the game crashes. I've tried this with different character placements, etc., but can't come up with a way out of this problem. please help!

    also, is the "cubby room" wherei get the other minotaur horn beyond this one? thanks!

    Have you tried to approach her with just your main character and all the other party members several rooms away? (That's my usual MO) Anyway, I've not seen a crash issue there before, so you'd better post your computer specs, OS, and mods you are using.

    With regard to the horn, IIRC it's in the room that's SE off the room where you encounter Bodhi.

    [IMG] Yes, I tried to approach her alone. I'm using a dell inspiron 1100 with XP Pro, 1gb ram, 2Ghz, and no mods at all other than the latest patch. thanks!

    As suggested by someone in the Bioware forums, I added a line in the baldur.ini file to enable logging. After running the game again until it froze, I closed it down, and indeed, there was an error in the baldur.err file This is what it said:

    ---------------------Start Logging Session---------------------

    ASSERTION FAILED!
    File: ObjAnimation.cpp
    Line: 20462

    Exp: m_currentVidCellShield == NULL

    Msg: no msg.
    Run Debugger?

    What does this mean, and how do I fix it? Thanks for any help anyone may provide!

    Sounds like a corrupted animation file. You may have to de-install and re-install your game. If you de-install from the Control Panel, your save games should be okay, but back them up to be safe. Same goes for your portraits.
